About Me

Jayden Ostler is a pianist, music director, arranger/composer, vocalist, and hornist from Billings, Montana. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Collaborative Piano at California Institute of the Arts, where he can be found playing a wide range of genres and styles, from Classical, Gospel, Brazilian, Musical Theater, Funk, R&B, Jazz, and Blues.

From Practice to Performance

Through my years of experience in music, I have been a part of many different musical environments. Because of this, I have compiled various strategies and ideas to adapt to a variety of musical styles and contexts. First and foremost, I believe in approaching music-making with a positive attitude, while still striving for the highest quality performance possible! This becomes very important, especially when making music with others. I believe good, clear communication is one of the most important elements.

As artists, we share a piece of ourselves when making art. It’s a beautiful thing that we get to share it with others doing the same, so we might as well strive to enjoy the process along the way.
